Replacement of waterproofing and new construction of the courtyard – BRF in Helsingborg
Lorné Mark & Fastighetsservice AB has recently completed an extensive project for a housing association in Helsingborg where we were responsible for the replacement of waterproofing and the complete construction of a new courtyard. The project was carried out with a focus on long-term sustainability, good function and a pleasant environment for the residents.
From worn-out farm to new outdoor environment
The existing courtyard was showing signs of wear and tear, both aesthetically and technically. The old waterproofing had reached the end of its lifespan and was causing moisture problems in the underlying spaces. The association therefore decided to take a holistic approach to the courtyard and hire a contractor who could take responsibility for both waterproofing replacement and new construction.
At Lorné, we started by exposing the entire surface, removing the old waterproofing and preparing for a new construction. We then installed new waterproofing in accordance with current industry standards and gradually built up the new courtyard with a drainage layer, support layer and surface layer.
A safe and pleasant environment for residents
Once the waterproofing was complete, we rebuilt the courtyard in close dialog with the association. The focus was on function, accessibility and aesthetics. The courtyard was given new walkways, planting areas and a well-thought-out level structure – all to create a pleasant place to spend time.
We tailored the work to the needs of the property and took into account the safety of residents throughout the construction period. The association was kept informed about the work process, and the project was on time and on budget.
